Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today arrived in Bhubaneshwar on a six-hour visit to Orissa during which he will inaugurate the 92nd conference of the Indian Economic Association (IEA) in the state capital. He will also lay the foundation stone of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) at Argul 25 km from here.The Prime Minister arrived in a special IAF aircraft at the Biju Patnaik Airport and was received by Orissa Governor M C Bhandare, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and senior government officials. Dr. Singh drove straight to the venue of the IEA conference at KIIT University campus. He is scheduled to fly to Argul in a helicopter for the NISER programme in the afternoon.
