The Prime Minister has appealed to the employees and teachers of the Vishva Bharati University to withdraw their agitation and desist from disrupting normal life and academic activities in the University. <br/>In a statement, Dr. Manmohan Singh said, he will ensure that an impartial inquiry is conducted into the circumstances leading to the agitation and the allegations levelled against the university authorities and other concerned entities. He said, he is deeply pained by the turn of events at the University during the last few days The employees and teachers of Visva Bharati University, who have been on a relay hunger strike since the 24th of last month are demanding a CBI probe into alleged corruption by the Vice Chancellor of the University. <br/>The employees and teachers union said the relay hunger strike would continue till the government announces a CBI probe.<br/>
