Prime Minister Dr Manmohan has appealed to all political parties to try to make optimal use of brief Parliament Session. Talking to reporters after an all-party meeting convened by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar in New Delhi today, Dr Singh said the government will ensure smooth functioning of session beginning Thursday. He sought cooperation of all parties to run both Houses and said financial business will be dealt on priority basis.
On separate Telangana, the Prime Minister said the government is committed to its formation.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath said all parties agreed on tabling Telangana Bill in Parliament. Mr Nath said government will talk to Rajya Sabha leaders after Lok Sabha leaders suggested extending Winter Session of Parliament in today's meeting.
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said there was unanimity in the meeting for extending Parliament Session which concludes on 20th of this month.
