PM appeals Opposition not to disrupt Parliament

<br/>The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh today appealed to the Opposition to allow smooth functioning of Parliament during the Budget session. He said, all issues agitating them can be debated on the floor of the House. The Prime Minister said this as he arrived in Parliament for the start of the Budget session which began today. He sought the cooperation of the Opposition in the smooth running of this important session of Parliament, which will be devoted to the passage of both the General Budget and the Railway Budget.<br/><br/>The session began with the customary address by the President to a joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament. The Railway Budget for 2009-10 will be presented to Parliament on Wednesday, the Economic Survey on Thursday and the General Budget for 2009-10 on Friday.<br/><br/>There will be a recess from March 16 to April 12 during which the Standing Committees of Parliament will consider the demands for grants of various ministries. The session is scheduled to end on May 7. <br/>
