PM addresses concluding session of All India Presiding Officers Conference; asserts India is fighting terrorism with new policies

<span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that now India is fighting terrorism with new policies. Addressing the concluding session of the 80th All India Presiding Officers Conference today via video conferencing at Kevadia in Gujarat he said India can't forget the wounds of 26/11 terror attack. He said terrorists from Pakistan attacked Mumbai on this day in 2008 in which many including foreign citizens and policemen lost their lives. The Prime Minister paid tributes to them.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Modi said Indian Constitution has many features but a special feature is the importance of duties. He said Gandhi ji saw a close link between rights & duties and felt that once we perform our duties, rights will automatically be safeguarded. Mr. Modi said, we have got the strength from our constitution which has helped solve many difficulties. He said that we had seen the attempts made to violate the separation of power of the constitution during the seventies, but its solution also came from the Constitution.  Mr. Modi said that after the emergency, the system of checks and balances becomes stronger and stronger.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Modi said that the world has witnessed our foolproof election process during the Coronavirus pandemic. He said that 130 crore people have shown their maturity in fighting against the Coronavirus.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on this occasion, the Lok Sabha Speaker and the Chairman of the All India Presiding Officers' Conference Om Birla said that we are committed to implement the decisions taken during the two day conference in a phased manner. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The two-day conference began yesterday at Kevadia in Gujarat. President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the conference which is being attended by Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, the state's Chief Minister Vijay Rupani among others. Speaker Om Birla is also the chairperson of the conference. The All India Presiding Officers Conference began in 1921, and the Gujarat event marks its centenary year. The theme for this year's conference is Harmonious Coordination between Legislature, Executive and Judiciary – Key to a Vibrant Democracy.</span><br />''  <br />
