PLO describes adoption of veto resolution by US as Rude & Biased

The Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization has described the resolution adopted by the U.S. House of Representatives to veto any decision of the Security Council supporting the establishment of a Palestinian state as rude and biased towards Israel.According to official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Committee pointed out that it will contribute to the weakening of American diplomacy and its ability to play the role of the sponsor of the peace process. The Executive Committee said that recognition of a Palestinian state with full sovereignty with 1967 borders is the key for security and stability in the region and the world. United States House of Representatives on Wednesday unanimously approved a resolution opposing unilateral declaration of Palestinian state. Meanwhile, Arab foreign ministers have rejected more Palestinian-Israeli peace talks without a serious offer and said they will seek a UN Security Council resolution against Israeli settlement building. They announced their decision in Cairo on Wednesday after meeting Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas in Cairo and US Middle East envoy George Mitchell.
