Sahashrabuddhe of the BJP wanted that the government to declare a specific day for Thalassemia saying that the genetic disease can be contained. Suggesting pre-nuptial tests for the couple, he also cited example that it was mandatory for the people in Cyprus to get themselves tested before marriage. </span><br />
