The Delhi High Court has sought response of the AAP government and Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on a plea over ensuring admission to poor kids in play schools, creches and the minority institutions running on public land. A two-bench of High Court sought replies from the Delhi administration by May 27, the next date of hearing.

The order came on the applications of an NGO which has contended that the court's earlier direction is not being implemented by the Delhi Government. The Delhi High Court in 2014 had directed authorities to ensure that the schools situated on DDA land shall admit children belonging to weaker section up to the extent of 25 per cent.
