The Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission today said that it will have a re-look on its inflation forecast. The Plan panel had forecast a 6% inflation by December end. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia said that he will have to take a closer look at the new Whole Sale price index, WPI, unveiled today. Justifying the change in the base year of WPI, he said it gives the real composition of consumption.
