The Planning Commission has finalized the Annual Plan size worth of 7,800 crore rupees for Uttarakhand for the year 2011-12. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held in New Delhi between Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. Mr Ahluwalia complimented the State Government for maintaining steady growth and performance in some important sectors. He said indicators in the health sector are better than the national average.
