The Planning Commission on Friday finalized 37 hundred crore rupees of annual plan for the year 2012-13 for Himachal Pradesh. This was decided at a meeting between the Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in New Delhi today. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Ahluwalia said the issue of green- bonus fund for conservation of forests in the hill states has been referred to a committee for studying development needs of hill states. He also said the committee will give special focus on creation of infrastructure, livelihood and human development in the states. The Commission assured the state government of support in expediting environment and forest clearances for electricity generation process.
