The Planning Commission has finalized an annual plan size worth of 1,810 crore rupees for Nagaland for the year 2011-12. The decision to this effect was taken at a at a meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Chief Minister of Nagaland Mr Neiphiu Rio. Commenting on the performance of the state during the meeting, Mr Ahluwalia said that Nagaland is making appreciable effort to improve growth. He said that the focus on agriculture with the objective of achieving self sufficiency in food is well directed.
