Planning Commission has approved over 50 crore rupees for Keoladeo National Park in Rajasthan which is facing severe water shortage. The money will be spent in drawing 350 million cubic feet of water for the Park during monsoon every year, an official statement said. It said the step will help solve the water crisis in the park on a permanent basis. The Ministry of Environment & Forests is also providing financial and technical assistance to the Rajasthan Government for the better management of Keoladeo National Park. Close to 70 lakh rupees has been released during the current financial year for Development of Wildlife Habitats, the statement said.
