The Civil Defence emergency services said on Twitter that the Douglas DC-3 aircraft crashed in the centre-east of the country on a flight between the towns of San Jose del Guaviare and Villavicencio. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Douglas DC-3 is a twin-engine propeller plane that was first produced in the 1930s and can seat 30 people. The wreckage was found about an hour after air traffic control lost contact. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The cause of the crash is not yet known. Authorities are still trying to identify the dead.</span>
