A plane carrying the Polish President Lech Kaczynski has crashed in western Russia. <br/><br/>Reports quoting the Russian Emergencies Ministry say 87 people on board have been killed in the crash and there are no survivors. Mr Kaczynski's wife was also on board the flight.<br/><br/>The aircraft was approaching the airport at Smolensk just across the border from Berarus, when it comedown. <br/><br/>The plane which was carrying the Polish leader Lech Kaczynski crashed as it was coming in to land at the airport in the western city of Smolensk in Russia. <br/><br/>It was on a flight from the Polish capital Warsa. <br/><br/>Mr Kaczynski was due to visit Smolensk to mark the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre, when Soviet troops killed thousands of Poles. <br/>
