The Government has come out with a strategy plan to double India's exports of goods and services by 2014. Releasing a strategy document in New Delhi on Wednesday Minister for Commerce Anand Sharma said, the long term objective is to double country's share in global trade by the end of 2020 through appropriate policy support. He said exports during 2010-11 are estimated at 222 billion dollars which is expected to be doubled by 450 billion dollars in 2014. The document has four main points – product strategy, market strategy, technologies and Research and Development and building a brand image of India. Mr. Sharma said that the document is available on the Ministry's Website for which suggestions are invited from all the stakeholders. The document will be finalised by 31st of next month.
