The Planning Commission on Monday finalized an annual plan of 28 thousand crore rupees of Tamil Nadu for the year 2012-13. The plan has been approved in a meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha in New Delhi.Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ahluwalia said that the state has an impressive record of improvement in human development indices and growth in services sector. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mrs. Jayalalitha said 15 new medical colleges will be established and the 17 existing medical colleges cum district hospital will be upgraded to international standards in the state.
