The Planning Commission has approved the annual plan of 2500 crore rupees for Tripura for the year 2013-14. The plan was finalized at a meeting between the Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia and the Chief Minister of Tripura, Mr. Manik Sarkar in New Delhi today.On this occasion, Mr. Ahluwalia said, the state's growth rate has been almost at par with the national achievement during the eleventh plan. He said the Commission would push early completion of central infrastructure projects being implemented in the State.The Chief Minister said inclusive development strategy has helped in improving human development. He said Tripura is preparing a comprehensive strategic plan for development of higher education and consolidation of existing institutions in the state.
