A plan of action has been drawn up to make India among top ten countries in sports by 2020. This was stated by Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Jitendra Singh. He said concrete steps are being taken for this. He was distributing prizes to winners of 33rd National Rowing Championships organized at College of Military Engineering , Dapodi, Pune.Appealing to youth to take up sports as a career, Jitendra singh exuded confidence that the election to Indian Olympic Association slated for tomorrow under the supervision of international observers will again boost the sporting activities in the country. Later talking to newsmen Jitendra Singh said that a special provision of five crore rupees have been made for the new post-graduate course in Sports Medicine started at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune.
