The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has said The Pittsburgh Summit is expected to focus on medium and long-term issues like framework for sustainable and balanced growth with the strengthening the international financial regulatory systems and extending support for the most vulnerable, an open global economy and energy and climate change.<br/>In a Departure statement before leaving for Pittsburg to attend G 20 summit, the Prime Minister said India is looking forward for the earliest possible return to trend growth and stabilization of the banking and financial sectors in the advanced economies. <br/> He said India would like to see a continuous increase in the capital base of multilateral development banks to finance the massive infrastructure needs of emerging markets. On the issues of Reconstruction and Reshaping of the International Financial Institutions for more Transparency, Dr. Singh said reforming the mandate mission and governance of the IMF and development banks is a need of an hour. <br/>Reconfirming India’s commitments to oppose the protectionism, The Prime Minister said, a strong message to emerge from Pittsburgh against protectionism in all its forms, whether trade in goods, services, investment or financial flows. <br/>AIR correspondent Shailesh Vyas covering the Prime Minister visit reports that G 20 countries which accounts 85% of the Global Out put and two third of the total population of the planet, are meeting third time in a year span, will discuss in the two days summit on the climatic change and the follow up of the action plans of Washington and London summits. During the summit the Prime Minister is likely have bilateral meetings with the world leaders including New Japanese Prime Minister.<br/>
