Pilots’ exam: Civil Aviation ministry sets up Expert Committee

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has set up an Expert Committee to examine the current process of examination of pilots and engineers. The objective is to make the system secure, credible, efficient and in line with modern and best practices. AIR correspondent reports that the Committee will make recommendations for improvement in the examination system after looking into possibility of introduction of electronic technology in conduct of examinations and licensing procedure. Introduction of effective system of cross-verification of documents for issue of licences by DGCA will also be examined by the Committee.
