Pilgrims progress: 1 lakh at Amarnath so far

In Jammu and Kashmir, more than one lakh pilgrims have visited holy cave shrine of Amarnath so far from both – Baltal and Pahalgam routes. AIR correspondent reports that a fresh batch of pilgrims left for the holy cave shrine from Baltal and Nunban base camps early this morning.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, a fresh batch of 3,114 pilgrims left Jammu today for the shrine.<br/><br/>The batch left in a fleet of 111 vehicles from Bagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu alongwith the security cover, and reached Ramban by 1100 hours. An official said that the pilgrims were expected to reach base camps at Baltal and Pahalgam by the evening.<br/><br/>As many as 29,810 pilgrims from different parts of the country have left from Jammu since the commencement of yatra.
