Press information Bureau in coordination with other departments of Information and Broadcasting ministry launched three day Bharat Nirman- Public Information Campaign on Tuesday in the Mewat district of Haryana. Haryana Chief Parliamentary Secretary Jaleb Khan inaugurated the campaign at Nagina village of Mewat district. While appreciating the effort of Central Governemnt to aware the people in the remote and backward areas about central sponsored schemes he said that the campaign would contribute in better implementation and enable people of this backward area to get maximum benefit of these schemes. Mr Khan said that Bharat Nirman programmes had benefitted around 50 lakh people in the state.He said that panchayats should also contribute to aware the villagers about the welfare and development schemes.He also inaugurated around 35 exhibitions displayed by various central and state departments for general public.On this occasion he distributed 17 Kisan credit cards of syndicate bank to the farmers and presented cheques of 12 lakh rupees each to the panchayats and headmasters for upgradation of schools. The district administration also distributed cheques to the 28 beneficiaries of Indira Awaas Yojna .
