Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu has said that a picture is worth a thousand words and photography is a powerful language that speaks to people about emotions. Addressing the 6th National Photography Awards Ceremony in New Delhi today, Mr Naidu said, photography can be used to spread awareness and as a channel of good governance. This year renowned photographer Raghu Rai was honored with the Life Time Achievement award. <br/><br/>Mr Naidu also opened the National Photography Awards Photo Exhibition organized by Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity – DAVP. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore was also present at function. <br/>
