Philippines is hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders' summit after two decades. Leaders of economies which account for nearly half of the world's trade and about 57 per cent of global gross domestic product will arrive in Manila for the summit today. This year, the theme of the summit is Building Inclusive Economies, Building a Better World, highlighting the role of small and medium enterprises, which account for more than 97 per cent of businesses in APEC economies.
