In Uttar Pradesh, only two days are left for campaigning for phase six assembly elections and electioneering has reached at its peak. Mahamayanagar is included in 13 districts going to poll in this phase of elections.AIR correspondent reports, in Mahamayanagar district a total of 40 candidates including energy minister of Mayawati government Ramveer Upadhyay are trying their electoral luck. After delimitation one seat Sasani reserved has lost its existence and number of seats has reduced from four to three. Now Hathras seat has been declared as reserved. In last assembly elections BSP had two seats while BJP and RLD had bagged one each. Delimitation of constituencies has forced most of the leaders and sitting MLAs to change their constituencies. Energy Minister Ramveer Upadhyaya is in contest from Sikandra Rao seat. In 2007 assembly election he had won Hathras seat. Sitting BJP MLA Yashpal Singh Chauhan has joined Samajwadi Party and is nominee of the party from Sikandra Rao.BJP and RLD have changed their previous candidates. RLD has denied ticket to its Sadabad sitting MLA and has fielded former MLA Pratap Chaudhary. Sitting BSP MLA from Sasani Genda Lal Chaudhary is in contest from Hathras reserved constituency.
