<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri said that the petroleum sector will play a crucial role in the growth of North East. He said that oil production in the North East is likely to increase by 67 percent in the next 4 years from 4.11 million metric tons at present to 6.85 million metric tons. Addressing a conference in Guwahati on Monday,  the Union Minister said that the PM Gati Shakti will bring a paradigmatic shift in the infrastructure and logistic sector of the country.  He asserted that the PM Gati Shakti is a game-changer with its more spirited, coordinated and holistic approach. Mr. Puri said that the Gati Shakti initiative would help in transforming the Ease of Living and Ease of Doing business in the country.  Attending the event, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that PM Gati-Shakti Initiative will give an immense boost to connectivity and lead to rapid infrastructure and economic growth. He said that this plan will also help states like Assam to join the league of best states of the country.</span><br />
