In Assam, Petroleum ministry will conduct a road show today in Guwahati ahead of upcoming auction of small oil field.Union Petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said it will be held in Guwahati for the first time.Earlier it was held in Mumbai and Delhi. He said that auction for 67 oil fields will start from 15th of July.The estimated values of the oil fields are Rs. 30,000 crore.Official sources said that Assam has 12 non- monitorised oil fields which will go on auction.Experts from oil sectors along with foreign companies will take part in todays road show in Guwahati.Earlier Mr. Pradhan said that the Centre will make Assam as the hub of exporting petroleum products to South Eastern countries.The minister said that Rs. 6000 crore will be invested in Assam in hydrocarbon sector in the current financial year and road map has already been prepared in this regard.
