Petroleum Minister says, he will not be cowed down by any lobby

Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Veerappa Moily has said that he will not be cowed down by any lobby and will continue to work to make India energy sufficient by 2030.

Moily said, there are lobbies at work who do not want the government to stop imports.

Moily said, he has been striving to attract investment for higher domestic output and lesser reliance on imports. The Minister said, if it does not happen through right pricing policy, oil imports will rise dramatically.

CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechuri said that the government must resist such pressures.

Former Petroleum Minister and BJP leader Ram Naik stresses the need to go into the detail of the issue.
