Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan has asked all the District Nodal Officers of Eastern and North-Eastern states to organise LPG Distribution Melas on and from August 15, to mark the 70th Independence Day of the country.Presiding over a meeting of all the District Nodal Officers in Kolkata on Saturday he said this will enable the women of BPL families to get an LPG connection in their names under the unique scheme launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.The Mela, under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, will be inaugurated by Freedom Fighters in the region.The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna was launched on 1st of May at Ballia in Uttar Pradesh.
