Petrol price has been hiked by 82 paise a litre while the diesel price has gone up by 61 paise per litre including State levies. The new rates will come into effect from midnight tonight.Indian Oil Corporation in a statement said that the prices of these two fuels have been hiked in view of the steep increase in international price of crude oil as well as due to the slight depreciation in the exchange rate of rupee value against dollar.
