Price of petrol has been hiked by Rs 3.07 and that of diesel by Rs 1.90 a litre including VAT. For diesel, the consumer will have to pay Rs 48.33 per litre in Delhi, Rs 50.75 in Kolkata, Rs 55.06 in Mumbai and Rs 49.09 in Chennai. <br/><br/>In a statement, Indian Oil Corporation said, the hike was necessitated by rising international prices of petrol and diesel and rupee-dollar exchange rate.
