Petrol will be costlier by about three rupees from Tuesday midnight.However, the diesel prices remain unchanged. The state-owned BPCL is hiking the prices from midnight tonight while IOC and HPCL is likely to hike the petrol prices from Thursday. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi on Tuesday, the Petroleum Minister Mr. Murali Deora said that there is limited option in containing the petrol prices due to massive hike in crude prices. He, however, said that the government will try for the minimum hike in the commodity.
