Petrol pump dealers defer protest against daily fuel price revision

Petrol pump dealers have deferred their no-purchase, no-sale agitation against daily revision in fuel prices till 1st of next month. All India Petroleum Dealers Association had called on its members not to buy any fuel from oil companies or sell any petrol and diesel to consumers from tomorrow. The President of the Association Ajay Bansal told AIR that decision to defer the agitation was taken after the government's assurance that the dealers' commission will be raised. He said, the Oil Marketing Companies have also promised to devise some compensation scheme to compensate dealers for their losses due to daily revision of prices. Prices of petrol and diesel are revised at 6 AM everyday since 16th of last month.
