Petrol prices will go up by 30 paise per liter and diesel by 18 paise. This follows increase in the commission paid to petrol pump dealers.
After the hike, petrol will cost 68 rupees 20 paise per liter and diesel 47 rupees 13 paise in the national capaital.
General Secretary of the Federation of All India Petroleum Traders, Ajay Bansal told AIR that the hike will be effective either midnight tonight or tomorrow depending Petroleum ministry's formal letter to the oil companies.
Welcoming the hike in the commission, Mr Bansal said that the increase is short of their demand.
