Petrol price hiked by Rs 1.50, diesel 45 paise from midnight tonight

Petrol becomes dearer by Rs 1.50 per litre and diesel by 45 paise from midnight tonight.

The rates have been revised in tune with the rise in international rates. The increase does not include VAT or local sales tax.

The New rates for petrol sold at Indian Oil Corporation pumps in Delhi will now be Rs. 69.06 per litre, Rs. 75.91 in Mumbai, Rs. 76.62 in Kolkata, Rs. 72.16 in Chennai.

Diesel will now cost Rs. 48.15 paise a litre in Delhi, Rs. 54.28 in Mumbai, Rs. 52.4 in Kolkata, Rs. 51.23 in Chennai.

However, rates of petrol and diesel sold at pumps of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited will vary by a few paise.
