Petrol will become costlier by Rs. 1.34 per litre and diesel by Rs. 2.37. The new rates will come into effect from midnight tonight. In a press release Indian Oil Corporation said that the price hike was warranted by current level of international prices of petrol and diesel and rupee-dollar exchange rate.
