Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said that the call to raise petrol prices was taken by oil marketing firms. He said, petrol has been deregulated and it is oil marketing companies' review.
Mr. Mukherjee said this when asked about 3.14 rupee per litre hike in petrol price.

State-owned oil companies hiked petrol rices stating that depreciation of Rupee increased the cost of crude oil import.
