Prices of petrol, diesel and LPG went up in Maharashtra, as the oil firms recalibrated rates to reflect changes in local levies. In Mumbai, petrol will cost 91 paise more at 75.14 rupees per litre while diesel will go up by 89 paisa. Kerosene prices will rise by 35 paisa while domestic cooking gas will cost nine rupees more per cylinder. The hikes in Mumbai are among the highest in India across products because Maharashtra charges one of the highest taxes on petroleum products.
