Peter Mukerjea charged with murder of Indrani's daughter Sheena Bora

A Mumbai magistrate today remanded Peter Mukhejea, former Media tycoon, CBI custody till November 23. Peter today was booked for murder and criminal conspiracy in his step daughter Sheena Bora murder case. Peter was arrested by the CBI yesterday for his alleged involvement in the case. He and his son Rahul were separately interrogated in the matter till late night. <br/><br/> Meanwhile, the court today also extended the judicial custody of 3 prime accused in the case, Indrani Mukerjea, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamwar Rai till December 3. From next month onward the case's hearing would be conducted in Mumbai Sessions court. <br/><br/> <br/>CBI today informed the Magistrate court that Peter knew about the plot to murder Sheena all along and played an active role in the commissioning of offence. The CBI said in court that Mr Mukerjea was in touch with his wife and prime accused Indrani at the time of the killing. <br/><br/>The CBI has also accused Peter for misleading his Son Rahul about the deceased. Peter now faces the same charges as his wife Indrani Mukherjea. Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai were also brought to the court as their judicial custody expired today.

Media tycoon Peter Mukerjea, who was arrested yesterday in the Sheena Bora case, has been charged with murder and criminal conspiracy in his step daughter Sheena Bora's murder case by the CBI. Peter Mukhejea was produced before the court in Mumbai today. <br/><br/>The CBI today told the court that Peter was in continuous conversation with Indrani prior, during and after the incident. The CBI also sought 14-day custody of Peter Mukerjea for further interrogation regarding his involvement in conspiracy with wife Indrani; played active role.<br/><br/>The CBI has also accused him for destroying evidence and lying to protect his wife Indrani Mukerjea, the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case. Meanwhile, Mumbai Magistrate Court transfers Sheena Bora murder case to sessions court for trial; directs all three accused to appear there on December 3.<br/><br/>In a fresh twist in the Sheena case, Peter Mukherjea was yesterday arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), hours after it filed a charge sheet in which Indrani, the mother of the victim born from her first marriage, and two others were accused of the crime. Sheena was strangled in 2012 allegedly by Indrani Mukerjea, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai.
