Perth ODI: India set 310 runs target against Australia as Rohit Sharma hits 171

India have set a target of 310 runs for Australia in the first one dayer at Perth. Electing to bat first India posed 309 for 3 in 50 overs. After the fall of Shikhar Dhawan for 9 early , Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli steadied the Indian innings with a partnership of 207 runs. Rohit hit his ninth century in one day cricket. He remained unbeaten on 171. Kohli was out on 91.Seamer Barinder Sran is making his debut as MS Dhoni has fielded three fast bowlers and two spinners in the five-pronged attack. The 5-match series ODI series will be followed by three Twenty-20 matches.
