Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawarchand Gehlot has that Center has started working on unique identity card for Divyang. <br/><br/>Addressing a conference of state social welfare ministers in New Delhi today, Mr Gehlot said all the persons with disabilities will get unique identity card within one year. He said, the identity card will be valid across the country and help the disabled to get benefit of the welfare schemes.<br/><br/>The Minister said, the government made many historic achievements in the last two years. He said, Center started scholarships for Divyang for the first time. He said his ministry also provided skill training to over 48 thousand persons in the during the lats one year. <br/><br/>Mr Gehlot informed that more than four lakh 40 thousand disabled friendly devices distributed in 1850 camps across the country in last two years. He added that the Government has launched the Accessible India Campaign or Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan as a step towards achieving universal accessibility. 50 Cities and 705 Railway stations across the country are being covered under the Campaign.
