People’s Party of Punjab supports Centre on FDI issue

President of People’s Party of Punjab (PPP), Manpreet Singh Badal has said that he is with the government in the Centre on the issue of FDI because it is in the interst of the Nation.

Addressing a press conference in Jalandhar, today, the former finance minister of Punjab said that by not going for the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail, SAD-BJP government is doing no good with the farmers and consumers of the state. He said the Chief Minister, Prakash Singh Badal should have gone with the interest of the people by welcoming FDI instead of going with the NDA to oppose it.

He welcomed Pakistan govt. for renaming the Shadman Chowk of Lahore on the name of Shaheed-e-azam Bhgat Singh.
