Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad today exhorted people, especially businessmen, to adopt and promote digital transactions for the country's economic development. <br/><br/>Advocating for cashless, less-cash and digital payments, Mr. Prasad said in Patna that the drive for digital payment will make India a stronger country. He said, it will broaden the ambit of tax net. The minister distributed Point of Sale (POS) machines among the businessmen and traders at Bakhtiarpur and Khagekala in Patna to promote and popularise the use of digital transactions and payments.<br/><br/>Mr. Prasad said, it is not about 'cashless' rather the government stresses on 'less' cash. He made it clear to the businessmen that government agencies would not go after the transactions that they had carried out prior to November 8.
