West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamta Bannerjee has said that the people have showed confidence over the 100 days of work of the new government in the state through their verdict in the bye-election. Expressing satisfaction over the verdict she said that this will inspire the government to work more for the welfare of the people.
Referring to the Calcutta High Court judgement on the Singur issue Ms. Banerjee said that industry will be set up in 600 acres of land while 400 acres of land acquired by the previous Left Front Government will be returned to the unwilling farmers.
The Chief Minister informed that the process of returning land will start after the court verdict on the issue will come into effect.
