Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi symbolizes good governance and honest leadership and that’s why people have reposed their faith in him and the BJP. He was reacting to early trends of assembly results in Maharashtra and Haryana.
BJP Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said, people of Haryana and Maharashtra have given more than what the party expected.

He said, it is a huge victory for BJP. Meanwhile, celebration has started at BJP central office in New Delhi.

NCP today said that both Congress and NCP are suffering losses in assembly elections in Maharashtra due to break up of their alliance. Commenting on initial trends of election results, senior NCP leader Tariq Anwar told AIR , that it would have been advantageous for them, had both parties contested elections together as they share the same vote base. He also admitted that Narendra Modi's image has not yet faded from people's memory in Maharashtra.
