People in the national capital Delhi continue to experience heatwave conditions as temperatures are settling above normal levels. The minimum temperature was recorded 31.5 degree celsius, five notches above normal, while the maximum stood at 42 degree Celsius, six degrees above normal yesterday. The Met office says, the city will have a clear sky during the day and is likely to become partly cloudy towards this evening. Hot weather conditions are likely to persist in the capital till tomorrow with the maximum and minimum temperatures hovering around 43 and 32 degree Celsius respectively. Earlier the Met office predicted that the much awaited south-west monsoon may arrive in the national capital Delhi in the first week of July as against the earlier forecast of the 29th of this month. AIR correspondent reports that the city has been reeling under heat wave conditions for almost the whole of the month of June, barring a few days.
