In Tamilnadu people heaved a sigh of relief today cyclone Nilam crossed the coatal areas. Met Department says it may rain again for another 24 hours. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea. In Tiruvarur 35 thousand acres of samba crops have been affected. In Kanchipuram district more than 1100 electricity posts and 16 transformers have been destroyed and 3125 trees have been completely uprooted.
