In Uttar Pradesh, people got respite from heat wave following intermittent rain and squall that is continuing for the past three days. The maximum temperature in many districts has gone two to four degrees below normal while minimum recorded 2 to 3 degrees below normal in Bareilly, Moradabad, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi and Gorakhpur divisions. The dust storm and squall have claimed at least three lives in Ballia and Ambedkar Nagar during past 24 hours. The agriculturists have advised the farmers to prepare nursery of paddy in those districts that have received moderate rain.
