People flee homes in Nigeria following Prez Jonnathan’s re-election

Thousands of people have fled their homes in northern Nigeria after clashes following the re-election of President Goodluck Jonnathan. The Red Cross says, there have been significant numbers of casualties and estimates that 16,000 people have fled from their homes in northern Nigeria. President Jonnathan appealed for an end to the violence. The runner up in the election, General Muhammadu Buhari, dissociated his party from the clashes.
